The third and final lunch time lecture for this Spring was given by Mostyn Roberts on March 18 looking at the founder of Rhode Island in the USA, Roger Williams 1603-1683. The focus of the message was on Williams’s work on the subject of liberty and conscience. It was good to see a decent turn out and to have the subject opened up so well. An audio version of the lecture is available from the Library. It is also available in written form in the articels and lectures section of this website. No lectures have been arranged for this Autumn yet but do not forget the upcoming annual lecture on Monday June 3 when Mark Stevenson from the USA will speak on the subject The Doctrines of Grace in an Unexpected Place: 19th Century Brethren Soteriology.
